Bass box for automobile sound system has hollow longitudinal structural component used as reflex bass box

The bass box is installed in a hollow longitudinal structural component (3), e.g. a door sill, of the automobile (1), positioned at the floor of the passenger compartment, for acting as a bass reflex box, with the sound outlet openings communicating with the passenger compartment within the front or rear foot well. Durch die Erfindung soll eine Bassbox einer Soundanlage eines Kraftfahrzeuges zur Verfügung gestellt werden, die ein relativ großes Volumen und eine entsprechend gute Basswirkung aufweist, ohne dabei im Fahrzeug eine Innenraum- bzw. Stauraumverkleinerung zu bewirken. DOLLAR A Erfindungsgemäß wird dazu die Bassbox in einem hohlen Träger des Fahrzeuges ausgebildet, der sich im Bodenbereich des Fahrzeuges erstreckt.
