Zusammenfassung:	A fuel injection installation for an IC engine, especially a common rail injection installation, has: - a common distribution chamber (3) for the storage of fuel to be injected into parallel combustion chambers; - a pressure sensor (4) for the distribution chamber; - a pressure actuator (5) to influence the pressure in the distribution chamber; and - control devices (6-8) to control the pressure actuator. The control devices contain a pressure control unit which controls the pressure actuator in accordance with the actual pressure value detected by the pressure sensor so that there is opposition to pressure variations in the distribution chamber occurring in continuous operation.
