Zusammenfassung:The support structure (1), formed as a folded bellows, is capable of absorbing energy. At the front, a surface (3) supports the cushioning. At the rear is a rigid rest (2). An Independent claim is included for the method of manufacture, in which natural fibers and plastic are molded and fastened onto a rigid rear support by hot pressing, in the bellows shape. Further preferred layers and an air chamber are added. Preferred features: The energy absorber is frustrated-conical in shape, ringed by a series of steps. It includes a layer of natural fibers, on at least one side of which a layer of thermoplastic material has been melted-on. The natural fibers are formed into a fleece. A further layer of knitted or woven fabric is included, preferably melted with the natural fiber fleece. The cushioning comprises a foam body with covering layer. It includes an air-filled chamber. Natural fibers used, comprise flax, hemp, jute, sisal and/or gambo fiber. The cushion (4) includes a decorative layer (6).
