Zusammenfassung: | The laser diode controller (30) includes a constant current source (60) which supplies current to a laser diode (90). A shunt switch (40) feeds current to the laser diode or to a bypass circuit (42). A thermal compensator (70) varies the current of the constant current source in accordance with the duty cycle of the laser diode, to even out the variations in optical efficiency of power conversion in the laser diode caused by temperature variations. A thermoelectric cooling controller (80) maintains the substrate (14) on which the laser diode is arranged at a constant temperature. The constant current source is preferably connected to system earth, and the shunt switch to the laser power supply (62). |
