Ceramic, capacitative lead-through filter for implant

The electrical lead-through assembly for an implant, comprises a bush (10) in a biocompatible, metallic material, and an insulating ceramic bush with a conductive, similarly-metallic pin (30) passing through. Biocompatible, conductive hard-soldered internal connections (65) are made, forming a seal,...

Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The electrical lead-through assembly for an implant, comprises a bush (10) in a biocompatible, metallic material, and an insulating ceramic bush with a conductive, similarly-metallic pin (30) passing through. Biocompatible, conductive hard-soldered internal connections (65) are made, forming a seal, and further metals and alloys are proposed for this purpose. A ceramic capacitative filter (50) has an opening (35) with an electrical terminal clamp inside, with a further clamp provided on the filter external surface, and a further soft solder internal connection (55) is detailed, proposing a wide variety of suitable metallic materials. Further hard and soft solder bonds are described, and the capacitative filter damps electromagnetic interference, when installed in an implant.
