Zusammenfassung: | Thermoplastic elastomers (I) with good colorability, high strength and elasticity, have embedded elastomer particles with an average diameter of 0.05-5 mu m and are obtained by reacting (co)polypropylene and elastomeric 4-12 carbon olefin co- and/or terpolymer with unsaturated monomer(s) and optionally free radical thermal initiator in the melt, with addition of conventional additives and processing aid before and/or after reaction. New thermoplastic elastomers (I) with embedded elastomer particles having average diameter of 0.05-5, preferably 0.1-1 mu m are obtained by reacting mixtures of 20-80, preferably 40-60 wt.% propylene homopolymer(s) (homoPP) and/or propylene copolymer(s) (coPP) and 80-20, preferably 60-40 wt.% elastomeric 4-12 carbon (C) olefin co- and/or terpolymer(s) with 0.10-4.0, preferably 0.2-1.5 wt.% of specified unsaturated monomer(s) and 0-4.0, preferably 0.2-1.5 wt.% of specified free radical thermal initiator(s) (with respect to total polymers) in the melt, with addition of 0.01-2.5 wt.% stabilizer(s), 0.1-1 wt.% antistatic(s), 0.2-3 wt.% pigment(s), 0.05-1 wt.% nucleating agent, 5-40 wt.% filler and/or reinforcement additives, 2-20 wt.% flame retardant and/or 0.01-1 wt.% processing aid (all with respect to total polymers) before and/or after reaction. Independent claim are also included for the following: (a) high strength polymer blends; and (b) preparation of the elastomers. |
