Zusammenfassung:	The x-ray tube has an anode arrangement (12) and a cathode arrangement (14) which directs a focussed electron beam towards the anode. A frame (44) of great hardness, stiffness and strength encapsulates the anode arrangement and cathode arrangement. An x-ray window (50) made in one piece with the frame is held by an insert (52) of a material of higher conductivity. The frame is of stainless steel and the insert has a copper insert. The x-ray window has a beryllium window.
