Zusammenfassung:	The heat exchanger has a flue gas inlet (1), a steam generator stage (2) supplied with the fuel gas on the primary side and with a heat-exchange medium on the secondary side and a flue gas chimney (3). The free cross-section of the steam generator stage is divided into a number of adjacent flue gas flow-channels (10,11,12) which are selectively blocked via a blocking device (15) with variable flaps (21,22) controlling the flow cross-section of each flow- channel.
