Zusammenfassung:	An immobilising composition (I) for solids is in the form of an aqueous dispersion having at least one Montan wax containing a component (II) in chemically-modified form achieved by a saponification reaction with an inorganic base, and addition of a surface active substance. Also claimed is a process for the production of (I) whereby the chemical modification of the Montan wax containing component (II) is carried out before dispersion and involves addition of an alkali metal hydroxide.
