Zusammenfassung:	A plant (12) for recovering the primary coolant of a nuclear reactor is located within the reactor containment and is connected to the primary cooling circuit, where the novelty is that the plant (12) is located in an open-topped water tank (13), and has a closed vessel (14) which is partly submerged in the water in the tank (13); at least one connecting pipe (19) between the submerged section of the vessel (14) and the tank (13); and a drain pipe (15) which connects the interior of the vessel (14) to the primary cooling circuit drain point (16).
