Zusammenfassung:Attacking buildings, especially bunkers, comprises firing a container, which contains gaseous, liquid and/or particulate fuel into the building, the fuel dispersing from the penetration point and forming, with the atmospheric gases, a cloud of a rich mixture which only explodes when ignited. The pressure wave drives the flame front of uncombusted mixture forward further into the building where it is ignited and optionally explosively combusted by the trailing flame front. Preferably, the fuel comprises a hybrid mixture (125 pts. wt.) of 80 pts. wt. aluminium powder (below 100 mu m particle size), 30 pts. wt. liquid propellant (e.g. petroleum and/or gasoline) and 15 pts. wt. liquefied gas (e.g. propane and/or butane). Also claimed is a device, in the form of a penetrator with a fuse and a fuel container, for carrying out the above process.
