Zusammenfassung:	The optical probe has an optical rod (10) with a convex curved end facing the combustion chamber. The optical rod is received in a carrier housing (8) in a recess of the cylinder head of the engine. The optical rod extends from a reception surface (101) facing the combustion chamber and passes through a recess (100). The rod has a tapering conical part at the recess, which is not penetrated by the beam course. An annular reception surface (102) extends from the tapered diameter (dk) along the direction of the carrier housing to the outer diameter of the optical rod. The outside diameter of the optical has an transparent surface, which is provided with a mirror coating (105) facing inwards.
