Zusammenfassung:	The clarification of a metal alkyl reaction prod. is effected by: (a) passing a feed stream contg. a metal alkyl, a substantially water-immiscible organic solvent and solid contaminants through a vibrating membrane filter which is continuously vibrated while the feed stream is passed through; (b) periodically interrupting the flow of the feed stream while continuing to vibrate the membrane filter; and (c) recovering a permeate and a concentrate both substantially free of solid contaminants.
