Zusammenfassung:	Spun yarns fault detection device Fault tracing device for a group of spun threads employs light rays and a photo-detector measuring the density of the light bundle in relation to a predetermined threshold value, and a counter for the output signals. The channel has an amplifier, the output of which is connected to the input via a backfeed loop which has a variable resistance, the value of which can be so adjusted by a manually operated adjuster that there is a linear ratio between the movement of the adjuster and the resistance in the back feed loop, the output of the amplifier being connected with the activating circuit which activates the counter when the output signal of the amplifier exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
