Zusammenfassung:	The guide plate (1) comprises a one-piece steel plate (4) with a groove (9) in its circumference which runs in the lengthwise direction and which is used to guide the chain. The plate has an opening in its centre in which a specific lighter material such as plastics is introduced. The edge (13) of the opening in contact with this material has a rear cut-away section into which the plastics engages. The opening is injected with the plastics material which has a shrinkage rate of approximately 0.5% or more. In the unloaded condition of the guide groove the hardened plastics insert exerts a force in the plane of the guide groove.
