Zusammenfassung:	The method involves sensing various vehicle operating parameters and generating corresp. signals which are compared with corresp. desired values, determining a number of efficiency estimates based on the comparison and generating an overall view of efficiency for the operator. The engine speed is sensed and the average engine speed derived and compared with a desired average engine speed to obtain an engine speed observation. Engine observation values corresp. to different engine speeds are stored in a table in software and an engine speed observation value selected so that the average engine speed is greater than the desired engine speed.
