Zusammenfassung: | The valve has a valve member 5 which can be displaced axially outwardly in a bore 3 of a valve body against a force of a closing spring 51. A damping chamber 27 provides damping of the opening stroke of the valve member 5; the chamber formed by a surface 29 of the valve body, the inner surface of a sleeve 31 and the bore of the valve member 5. A valve member piston 25, formed by a sealing ring 37 and support ring 39, moves toward surface 29 of the valve body reducing the volume of the damping chamber and forcing fluid to flow through relief duct 43 providing a damping effect. The duct 43 is formed by a recess in valve member 5 which may be closed during the opening stroke. Preferably the recess 43 is chamfered so that its upper edge forms a control edge which determines the commencement of damping. In a second embodiment the valve member has two recesses to provide a stepped damping causing the valve member to pause during the opening stoke to allow two rows of orifices, provided in a closure end of the valve member at its combustion chamber-side, to spray fuel into the chamber subsequently. |
