Zusammenfassung:The cam is formed by a combined reforming process from a flat sheet metal plate to comprise an inner edge (3), outer edge (2) and interposed web (4). The inner edge rests on the support shaft (1) and the outer edge provides the track for the slide shoe whilst the web forms the base of the deformed hub. The inner and outer edge of the cam can have a wall thickness of increased strength reducing towards the free end whereby the contact faces with the shaft and slide shoe have improved surface quality. The inner edge is formed with an angle to the support shaft before being threaded onto same.
