Zusammenfassung:	The shaped padding body, with a polyolefine foam base material, has an outer textile fabric layer. The foam body surface is embossed, to give projections and recesses. The overlaid textile fabric rests on the projection peaks and is bonded to them, for the recesses to form channels for the escape of steam and vapour. Also claimed is a mfg. process where the textile fabric covering is bonded to the surface projections by an adhesive, a slitted thermoplastic adhesive film or through the use of a thermoplastic nonwoven.
