Zusammenfassung:	A clay suspension and additions of porosity-forming and water-binding agents is used to manufacture a rectangular-form light brick which is provided with several parallel channels in rows. The mixture has a body bulk density of 0.6 g/cm3 maximum and a thermal insulation capacity of 0.14 W/mK maximum. Preferably the channels make up 5-30% of the total volume of the brick which has serrated joining faces. Liquefying and sintering aids mat be included. The bricks may be used in house building.
