Zusammenfassung:	The sliding cover (4) moves rearwards under a temporarily-fixed roof section (5) so as to free an opening (9). The section is movable at least part of the way forwards above the cover. This section can incorporate the rear window (6), and the rear end of the cover can be lowered. With the section above it, the cover can be arranged to free a ventilation gap (9A) at its forward end. Below the cover forward end there can be an extensible wind-deflector (8), whose top edge (8A) swings upwards above the cover edge when the cover is slid part-way rearwards.
