Zusammenfassung: | A car has headlamp control depending on the travel situation. There is an ambient light sensor (6) with a wide conical evaluation range (2) and a light sensor (7) specifically aimed in the travel direction with a smaller conical range(3). A control unit (5) uses the sensor signals to discriminate between short and long travel sections of less light and generates a corresponding signal. The second light sensor is positioned so that its conical evaluation range meets the road surface about 66 feet ahead of the car. The control unit determines the length of the sections with less light using a car speed signal. The sensitivity of the second sensor is determined by the light falling upon the first sensor. |
