Zusammenfassung:An electrical oxygen (O2) concentration sensor (1) has a specially designed seal at the end of the housing (10) to hold the wires (31,32,41) leading to the sensor element (3). The seal consists of an elastic insulation material (2), fixed inside a protective covering (11,12), within which holes (20) are bored to carry the leads. A radial rib (21) in the elastic insulant round each wire helps to hold the leads in place. The whole seal is held firmly by its covering, providing a secure and dense protective barrier and allowing accurate testing over a longer period.
