Zusammenfassung:	Temporary protection of surfaces is achieved by application of an aqueous polymer dispersion containing a) at least one C2-C10 olefin, and b) at least one comonomer that may be copolymerized with the olefin under radical conditions. The dispersion layer applied is then dried to give a solid polymer film having a mean thickness exceeding 20 mu m. The invention also refers to coloured polymer dispersions and their use in temporarily protecting or in colouring surfaces.
