Zusammenfassung:	The data card is produced with a laminated structure having a core layer 6 with cover layers 5 on both sides. The outer surfaces are printed with information and a contact region is embedded into the material. The surfaces are protected by films 8 of transparent foil that are either micro porous or have a pattern of fine slits to allow air to escape during roller bonding of the surfaces. An electro static charge may also be created to improve contact. The card can be traced through the production, personalising and/or delivery process using information placed on the transparent film.
