Zusammenfassung:The machining system is used to provide a workpiece (1) with a smooth curved surface (2) by moving a rotary milling tool (11) across this surface with its rotation axis (12) at a given angle (13) to the surface normal (4) at the point of contact. The angle between the tool rotation axis and the surface normal is maintained constant during the machining process, while the tool and the workpiece surface are subjected to a relative translatory movement. The tool is controlled (17) using a CNC-process.
