Zusammenfassung:	The strip is parted off into sections by successive cutters (S), being moved by a conveyor (4). Two or more cutters (Sn) are mounted along the conveyor track and at a distance apart equal to the desired section length. Each cutter (S1-Sn) has its own discharge conveyor (A1-An) for the sections (B1-Bn) parted off. The cutters and their discharge conveyors can be operated independently of each other, and the number of cutters used and the length of the conveyor track can be variable. At each cutter there can be a detector (LS) for the presence of a strip section.
