description The invention relates to an ultrasonic transducer for distance warning devices in vehicles. Such transducers must be provided with damping structures to be protected from disturbances. Another possible damping measure is to cast the otherwise metal resonator shell from a suitable plastic or to coat a drawn metal shell with a sufficient plastic layer at the appropriate points.
