Zusammenfassung:	The processing procedure involves a photographic film (2) which includes at least a partial magnetic layer. The film is passed through a magnetic reading and/or writing unit (1), with a magnetic head (13). The head is moved in relation to the film, or the pressure between the magnetic head and the film is altered, when a specific signal is received. This signal is generated if no magnetically coded data can be read from the film, or if a detector (17) senses that there is no magnetic layer on the film, or if it detects that the end of the film has been reached. When the detector senses the beginning of another film, the magnetic head is moved on to the film.
