Zusammenfassung: | The sliding surface of the skis incorporate metal ridges (1a,1b) along both edges which reinforce the ski. Over the area of the ski with which the foot of the skier engages, i.e. the area which forms the pivot point when turning, the edges are extended downward (5b,6a). The shape of the extensions can be of any suitable geometrical form and are preferably trapezium shaped with rounded corners at start and end. The downward facing edges, of the extensions, can be ground hollow as is usual for skates. The edges can be re-ground after wear. |
