Rotating shaft or disc coupling

The rotating component with a coupling function, such as a bearing or disc in the drive transmission in a fully automatic washing machine, has an inner unit (1) for mounting to a shaft with an initial ring race recess (4) shaped at an outer periphery flanked by a pair of cylindrical surfaces (5). An outer cylindrical component (2) is mounted round the inner unit, with a second ring race recess (6) at its inner surface, flanked by a further pair of cylindrical surfaces (7). A number of rollers (12) are inserted between the two race recesses. A blocking shoe (14a), between adjacent rollers, has a length to give contact at its ends with the two cylindrical surfaces on both sides of the race recesses. Each blocking shoe has curved inner and outer surfaces. Elastic units (16) force the blocking shoes into a direction where their curved inner and outer surfaces press against the cylindrical surfaces of the inner and outer units. A cage (3) is fitted between the inner and outer units, with pockets (10) to hold the rollers (12) and recesses (11) to contain the blocking shoes.
