Zusammenfassung:A method of producing precious metal (esp. Pd, Ag or Pd-Ag alloy) powders involves feeding an aerosol of a precious metal cpd. soln. into a flame reactor at above the decomposition temp. of the precious metal cpd. or oxide and depositing the resulting precious metal powder. The novelty is that, prior to feeding into the reactor, the aerosol is freed from (most of) the solvent at above the solvent boiling point, pref. by heat treatment at 10-100 deg C above the solvent boiling point for 2-20 secs. immediately before feeding into the reactor.
