Zusammenfassung:1277080 Polymers of propargyl derivatives INSTITUT NEFTEKHIMICHESKOGO SINTEZA IMENI AV TOPCHIEVA AKADEMII NAUK SSSR 30 Oct 1969 [31 Oct 1968 14 Oct 1969] 53102/69 Headings C3G and C3P A polymer having a system of conjugated double bonds in the main chain and containing links of the general formula wherein (Q cat)+ is a cation containing a quaternary nitrogen, phosphorus or arsenic atom and X- is Cl-, Br-, I-, OH- or an anion comprising an ester group, are prepared by interaction of a monomeric amine, phosphine or arsine or a polymeric derivative thereof, and a propargyl derivative of the formula CH#C-CH 2 X wherein X is Cl, Br, I or a radical comprising an ester group, in an organic solvent at -40‹ to +220‹C. In the examples (1) pyridine and propargyl chloride in methanol, (2) pyridine and propargyl bromide in methanol, (3) polyvinylpyridine and propargyl chloride in methanol, (4) triphenylphosphine and propargyl chloride in benzene and (5) triphenylarsine and propargyl chloride in benzene, are reacted in a sealed tube. By the above process polyelectrolytic blocks having a system of conjugated bonds can be grafted on to an amine, phosphine or arsine polymer.
