Zusammenfassung:The method involves adjusting the colour faults at a generation of the index prints, during a colouring of colour copies which are produced in a colour copier. The colour copier includes an automatic, photo-electric exposure control which uses a measurement arrangement adjusted to a spectral sensitivity of a photo-copy material. The image signals for the generation of the index prints are recorded by an image sensor, whose spectral sensitivity deviates from that of the measurement arrangement of the exposure control. The image signals undergo a colour correction which is automatically determined through a comparison of the image signals with the measurements from a measurement arrangement (8) for the photostatic exposure control. The photostatic densities (DR, DG, DB) which correspond to a neutral grey are preferably used as the measurements from the photostatic exposure measurement arrangement, by the exclusion of greatly colour-saturated values.
