Zusammenfassung:	A method for generating index prints, i.e. reduced reproductions of the individual exposures contained on a developed camera film (2a,2b) having a magnetic data strip employs a photographic printer (1) in which the beam from a luminous source at the imaging window (2c) during normal print formation (4a) is split (7) in order to produce a corresponding image for the objective (8) of a video camera (9). The video data thus obtained is combined with signals from a magnetic reactor (15), colour control (11) and processing computer (12) in an index print composer unit (10) whose output when applied to e.g. a CRT printer (13) generates the reduced copies on a single sheet with relevant information displayed in readable form.
