Zusammenfassung:The method is applied to computers which influence process elements of a system to be controlled and monitored by means of control commands and which receive messages about the operating states of the process elements. The control commands (E1) of the computer (BR) in a higher plane are associated with exclusive instruction identifiers (K1) which are transferred with the commands to one or more lower plane computers (SR). When a lower order computer is generating a message (E1M1) for transfer to one or more higher order computers regarding an instruction it uses the same instruction identifier, or an identifier derived from it. The messages are thereby associated with the corresp. instructions.
