Automatic drive combine harvester with wheeled chassis, thresher and separator

The thresher and separator (12) operating on an axial flow system is incorporated across the direction of travel. Under the thresher and separator is a conveyor (14) transferring the mixture of grain and chaff to the conveyor floor of a sieve arrangement. The axle shafts (28) of the front wheels of the combine harvester are positioned in front of the thresher and separator, in front of the front vertical strut of the main frame and under the last third between the inlet of the slanting conveyor duct (20) and its discharge end. The rotor at least partially protrudes beyond the front wheel (4). The housing (16) enclosing the rotor and underneath conveyor has a recess protruding into the housing's interior. The gear shift mechanism is positioned under the thresher and separator. A brake disc is on at least the driven shaft of the gearshift mechanism.
