Zusammenfassung:	The drive adjusts the position of components (1,2) relative to one another, especially on a seat in a motor vehicle, and has a housing (4) which accommodates a spindle (5) which engages with both components. The spindle has a hinged bearing (6) at a distance from its axis, on at least one side. The off-axis hinge bearing may be located in the region of the housing, or on the fixed component (1) of a drive which has fixed and adjustable (2) components. The spindle may also be hinged to the backrest, above or below the pivot bearing (8) for the latter.
