Zusammenfassung:	A current collector has a sliding contact (6) for transmitting electric energy from an overhead line (102) to an electrically driven vehicle (100). The overhead line (102) may cause damages to the sliding contact (6), since it may be vertically deflected by outer forces. In order to prevent the sliding contact (6) from being damaged by such outer influences, the current collector (1) is provided with at least two vertically adjustable elements (2 and 7). At least one passive springing element (7) and at least one element (2) with an adjustable height regulation are installed between the electrically driven vehicle (100) and the sliding contact (6).
