Zusammenfassung:	Large-area filters, partic. water filters, are back-washed by an arrangement of perforated pipes (4) extending over the area of the filter on the cleans side. The system comprises several pipe sections (5) each supplied with part of the back-washing water and pref. in laid in an H-shape with the water being fed via the cross-piece of the H, which is not perforated. The flushing pipes pref. consist of an inner tube section (5a) having perforations (9) on the side of the pipe remote from the filter and an outer pipe (5b) with perforations (13) on the side facing the filter.
