Zusammenfassung:The method involves using a data carrier (4) provided with a non-volatile memory (2), a control logic (5), and an intermediate memory (1). The non-volatile memory is write protected by the control logic hardware or by non-variable software. The method involves using separate commands in normal operation of communication protocols of directable command sequence of the control logic. The sequence causes data which is to be refreshed to be taken over to the intermediate memory from which new programming of the write protected data and only this data using is occasioned.
