Zusammenfassung:	The ultrasonic reactor destroys cell structures in microorganism suspensions, e.g. sewage sludges, by use of ultrasound. In the new development the reactor is tubular and the sludge is passed through it. One or more electromechanical ultrasonic transducers are used, in the form of rod oscillator-transmitters (3). The reactor's lower inlet takes the sludge supply, which is then passed through the reactor, to experience the ultrasound treatment, inducing cavitation. The sludge leaves via the upper outlet (5).
