These concentric items (2,6) can move reciprocally relative to each other coaxially.The seal has an O-ring (14), fitting against the circumferential surface (16) against one of the concentric parts. A cage (20) is fixed to the other concentric part. The cage can be pushed axially between two end positions in which the O-ring is against an internal sealing surface in the cage.
