Zusammenfassung:Surface structure, partic. lettering, is applied to the sole or shoe of an iron which has an anodised layer (312) of anodised Al or Al alloy. A laser is used to form at least one line (313) by removal of the anodised layer almost completely. In the remaining anodised layer, a conversion layer is formed at least of Al oxide, Al or Al alloy and incorporated N, producing a corrosion layer with a thickness of 20 nm to 400 nm. The laser is pref. a Nd-YAG laser and is focused to produce a focal spot of 40-500 mu for removal of anodic layer.
