Zusammenfassung:	Process to produce a filter, esp. for fluid purification is disclosed.Firstly, to produce a blank in plate form on a first layer of sludge, a layer of metal shavings is arranged. This layer is then covered by a second sludge layer, with the sludge and shavings being contaminated by hydrocarbons. The blank is compressed and sintered, the sintering energy being charged through the hydrocarbon parts. Also claimed is a fluid purification filter having a supporting layer of metal shavings (2) with covering layers of sludge (1, 3) on both sides, the filter (5) having a plate structure. Pref. the impinged filter side may have a polytetrafluoroethane (PTFE) covering.
