Multi-filament elastane threads reliably wet-spun at higher speeds

A prodn. process for multi-filament wet-spun elastane threads has the following steps: spinning of 35% by weight elastane soln. in a coagulating bath, washing and if necessary drawing out, drying, setting, oiling and winding thread pref. for titre to 2500 dtex. Drawing, setting and oiling stages can...

Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A prodn. process for multi-filament wet-spun elastane threads has the following steps: spinning of 35% by weight elastane soln. in a coagulating bath, washing and if necessary drawing out, drying, setting, oiling and winding thread pref. for titre to 2500 dtex. Drawing, setting and oiling stages can be interchanged one with another, spinning speed is to 200 m per minute and the many filaments, on leaving the coagulating bath, are led over a direction changing roller which is placed just above the fluid surface of the bath. The following conditions hold: (a) before the filaments leave the washing appts. for drying or setting, a roller applied to one of the wash rollers squeezes out entrained water; (b) drying, setting is carried out by at least two rollers; (c) one at least being at a temp. greater than 200 deg C; and (d) the time when thread is in contact with it depends on its titre but is 3 seconds at least. Also claimed is elastane thread mfd. as above with a degree of stretch from at least 200%, a strength of 1.0 cN per dtex min. and break elongation of 500% min.
