Zusammenfassung:	Proteinaceous substances in these solutions are fractionally precipitated with polyethylene glycol (pref. mol. wt. 1000-2000) solutions (preferred concentration 50%) at a pH between 7 and 9 (pref. 8.5) at an optimum temp. of 4-5 degrees C. From the main fraction the virus is recovered in the crystalline form without undesirable proteinaceous contaminations, which may evoke allergic reactions.
