Zusammenfassung:	Compacted sodium benzoate prods. with easy solubility props. for use in food preservation, toiletries, medicine, and for packing foodstuffs etc., is produced in high density, forms by compressing the salt particles (I) (contg. 0.1-2(0.2-0.5) wt. moisture) under 55-70kg/cm2 press. into a plate nad opt. powdering or flaking the latter. (I) contg. 0.5-2 wt.% moisture may also be compacted and subsequently heated under reduced press. to lower the H2O content to 0.5 wt.%.
