Zusammenfassung: | 1,268,550. Photographic multi-colour silver halide materials. EASTMAN KODAK CO. June 6, 1969 [June 11, 1968], No.28646/69. Heading G2C. A photographic multi-colour silver halide material, processable by colour development and blix only, contains as a non-diffusible yellowforming coupler a compound of the formula:- wherein X is CN or carbamyl which may be substituted and Y is a group which splits off during colour development, and as a magenta-forming coupler a compound of one of the formulae:- wherein R is an alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic group, Y1 is a group which splits off during colour development and R1 is alkyl, carbamyl, substituted amino or amido, or one of the compounds 2-cyanacetylcoumarone-5-(N-namyl-p-tert-amyl-sulphanilide, 2-cyanoacetylcoumarone-5-sulphon-N-n-butylanilide, 2- cyanoacetyl-5-benzoylamino-coumarone, 2- cyanoacetylcoumarone-5-sulphordimethylamide, 2-cyanoacetylcoumarone-5-sulphon-N-methylanilide, 2-cyanacetyl-5-(p-sec. -amylbenzoylamino)coumarone, 1:4-phenylene bis-3-(1-pheny 5-pyrazolone), 1-[4-(3:5-dicarboxy benzamido) phenyl]-3-ethoxy-4-(3-octadecylcarbamylphenylthio)-5-pyrasolone or 2-cyanoacetylcoumarone- 5-(N-y-phenylpropyl)-p-tert. - amylsulphonanilide; the photographic material being free of aldehyde or aldehyde-releasing hardening agents. The cyan-forming couplers may be phenolic or naphtholic couplers. The material on development gives the full yellow and magenta dye densities without the use of a separate bleach bath necessary with more conventional materials in order to oxidize the uncoloured forms of the yellow and magenta dye-images. The material may be processed by colour-developing and bleach-fixing (blixing) only. Hardening agents which may be present include aziridines, isoxazolium salts, epoxides and vinylsulphonyl compounds. Bleach-fix baths which can be used contain as silver halide solvents thiosulphates, thiocyanates, thia-aliphatic diols, thia-aliphatic dicarboxylic acids and imidazolidinethiones, and as bleaches ferricyanides, quinones and ferric, cupric or cobaltic salts or complexes thereof with alkali metals and aliphatic carboxylic acids e.g. ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid. |
