The invention comprises the compound of formula and a process for making it by reacting 1,2-bis- (4-chloromethyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)ethane with pyrrolidine, and quaternizing with MeI the 1,2 - bis(4 - pyrrolidinomethyl - 1,3 - dioxolan- 2 - yl)ethane so formed. Therapeutic compositions for parenteral administration comprise the compound of the above formula, which has a curare-like action, and a pharmaceutical diluent.
